The Ocala Christmas Parade 2019 was a success on every level - we had fun building the float - we had fun participating in the parade and WE WON (first place in the "commercial" category). And we also received a message from the fearless leader of the construction team, Park Specialist Andy Kilmer: "Hello all! I'm pleased to announce that our float, along with the Silver River Museum, won first place in the "Commercial" category of the Ocala Christmas Parade! I am so thankful for everyone that was able to come out and be a part of the construction of the parade float. The designs that I laid out with you and park staff really knocked it out of the park and I couldn't have done it without feedback from all of you before and during construction. The whole enterprise was a team effort! I'll be bringing the trophy to the next Friends and Volunteer meetings so you can check it out. Thanks again, -Andy" |
