Volunteering is an opportunity to contribute, to make a difference, and to leave things better than before!

But first, become a member!

As a member, you’ll help support one of the most unique and exceptional places on the face of the earth. Silver Springs is the largest artesian spring in the world, sending up more than 500 million gallons of water each day. The Silver River flows out of the springs. It is a 5-mile long paradise of crystal clear water and its virgin forest supports a rich variety of wildlife, including many species of birds, fish, alligators, manatees, and even troops of wild monkeys. The springs have attracted life for thousands of years, from the Columbian mammoths and indigenous Timucua people to Spanish invaders to the iconic Paradise Park that brought together African Americans during the time of segregation to modern people from all around the world. Harriett Beecher Stowe, author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, visited the springs in the 1870s and described the Silver River environment: “There is nothing on earth comparable to it.”
