HALF MARATHON & 5K AT SILVER SPRINGS

This event on Saturday April 6 is hosted by Sommer Sports. They are working with the Park, and have extended an invitation to the Friends to participate, and we have agreed to set up a table at the Finish Line to collect donations. Their intention is to bring awareness to the Park trails and to raise funds for their preservation. 

Sommer Sports is also looking for interested volunteers for these assignments:

-> Registration from 5:45 to 8:00 a.m. to assist runners with bibs & shirts

-> Finish Line & Food area from 8:00 a.m. to noon to hand out water & food

-> Course Marshals at various locations from 7:15 to 11:30 a.m. *

-> Aid Stations at various locations from 7:15 a.m. to noon *

* these volunteers will receive further direction

The Friends are looking for help with the Friends Table at the Finish Line from 8:00 to noon. Indicate for which job you'd like to volunteer. Please contact Dr. Barbara Toeppen-Sprigg at btsprigg@gmail.com before Thursday April 4.
